Scream Tail @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy / Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Wish
- Protect
- Thunder Wave / Stealth Rock

Support Scream Tail. Its HP and bulk is pretty good, so its Wishes heal quite a bit of HP. It also gets Twave for slowing down other mons, or Rocks to chip things, giving it more utility. Tera Fairy has a nice immunity to Dragon and a resistance to Knock Off and Sucker Punch, but Tera Steel also has great resistances. Dazzling Gleam is STAB and makes it not totally Taunt bait. Wish allows you to heal your team and yourself, and Protect allows you to heal more comfortably. Leftovers fits well with Protect, giving it even more recovery.

Gen 9 Doubles UU

Scream Tail @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Encore
- Howl
- Play Rough

A very cool support Pokémon. Thunder Wave slows down faster Pokémon, allowing Scream Tail's team mates to outspeed Pokémon they usually wouldn't. Encore locks an opposing Pokémon into an undesirable move (such as Fake out, Tailwind, a setup move, etc.), potentially rendering them useless until they switch out. Howl gives Scream Tail's ally an attack boost, helping them take KOs more easily and sometimes letting them sweep through teams (Scream Tail itself also gets an attack boost, but unless it accumulates multiple boosts, it won't do much damage). Play Rough is here so Scream Tail doesn't get completely shut down by taunt.

Sitrus Berry provides Scream Tail with instant recovery. Because of the faster pace of double battles compared to singles, this is usually better than the passive recovery given by Leftovers. Tera Steel turns Scream Tail's Steel and Poison weaknesses into a resistance and an immunity in a pinch. Having maximum speed allows Scream Tail to outspeed Iron Moth and unboosted Iron Jugulis, and then cripple them with Thunder Wave.

Wouldn't helping hand be more helpful instead of howl because howl will not be useful for special attackers (e.g flutter mane)

Gen 9 Monotype Screens Setter (Psychic)

Scream Tail @ Light Clay
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Stealth Rock
- Wish / Encore / Thunder Wave

Since there's no other Screens setter on here, I'd thought I'd post the Screens setter set Scream Tail uses on Psychic Screens HO teams in Gen 9 Monotype. Light Screen and Reflect are used to setup screens that last 8 turns thanks to Light Clay, allowing the setup sweepers on your team to setup while taking less damage. Stealth Rock is used for an entry hazard to chip opposing Pokemon switching in. Wish provides Scream Tail as well as the setup sweepers on your team with some HP recovery. Encore can be used to lock opposing Pokemon into a move they don't want to be locked into, which can allow for a free turn to switch into a teammate. Thunder Wave can be used to slow down opposing Pokemon. Yes, I know this set is Taunt bait, but Hatterene's Magic Bounce can bounce the Taunt back, so... :P

Gen 9 NU Wishpasser

Scream Tail @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water / Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Protect
- Psychic Noise / Dazzling Gleam
- Encore

This is the Wishpasser set Scream Tail uses in Gen 9 NU. Wish lets Scream Tail heal itself as well as its teammates since it has a high HP stat. Protect lets Scream Tail scout opposing Pokemon and lets it heal up with its Wish should it need it. The STAB move depends on what you to hit. With DLC 2 out, Scream Tail gets this new move called Psychic Noise. Psychic Noise lets Scream Tail prevent opposing Pokemon from getting recovery from items, abilities, and moves for 2 turns. Psychic Noise also allows Scream Tail to hit Poison-types such as Qwilfish, Venomoth, Salazzle, Toxtricity, Toxicroak, and Grafaiai super effectively. Dazzling Gleam lets Scream Tail hit Dark- and Dragon-types such as Brute Bonnet, Altaria, Umbreon, Zoroark, and Goodra super effectively. Whatever STAB move you use lets Scream Tail hit most Fighting-types in the tier super effectively. Encore is used to lock opposing Pokemon into the move they last used, making Scream Tail not as passive. Tera Water gives Scream Tail a nice defensive typing. Tera Steel also works for a defensive typing since it gives Scream Tail an immunity to poison moves and Toxic.
