Does Synchronize affect Shiny odds in Emerald?

I’ve been shiny hunting a Taillow in Emerald thinking nothing of it with an adamant Abra at the lead of my party. I found a shiny Poochyena fairly quick and it was naughty nature. I started reading up on the RNG algorithm which I hardly understand but from my understanding if I do get a “shiny frame” synchronize will reroll to the closest “adamant frame” and therefore no shiny. Admittedly this can work in my favour but chances are it’ll screw me instead.

Should I ditch the synchronizer or am I being too paranoid?

You don’t have to worry, Synchronize won’t affect your odds. While there is a chance that Synchronize will cause you to miss a shiny frame you otherwise would have gotten, there is an equal chance that it will skip you to a shiny frame you otherwise wouldn’t have gotten (and in that case, it’ll also have the nature you want), so it cancels out.
