Pretty much self-explanatory. They usually fill similar roles, such as bulky spinners or AV attackers, but their differing move pool also comes into play, such as Iron Treads' ability to work as a spinning pivot with resistance to most hazards and Volt Switch, while Tusk can work as more of a setup sweeper with Bulk Up and Protosynthesis. I am aware that the choice is mainly preference, so I would like a detailed list of pros and cons for each.

Great Tusk can serve a multitude of roles besides just a Hazard clearer.  So are you asking in just terms of being Hazard removal, or in overall terms as complete teammates?
Overall terms, knowing that they can be run in so many different variations.

You didn't ask there, so I asked for you.

Although they are both Ground-type spinners with access to Knock Off, the similarities pretty much end there. The choice of which one to use will vary depending on the needs of your team. Great Tusk is more flexible in what set it can run and is the better Pokemon overall. It can be a potent wallbreaker that supports its teammates with its offensive utility set, a dangerous win condition with its Bulk Up set, a top revenge killer with its Choice Scarf set, or a valuable defensive Pokemon that notably checks Koraidon. All of this does not mean that Iron Treads does not have its uses, however. The future Paradox Donphan is able to check Miraidon and Flutter Mane—especially Calm Mind + Agility variants of the former. You can read the analyses of both Pokemon for a more detailed look at them: Great Tusk, Iron Treads.

Too bad they’re both ironically OHKOed by Miraidon’s Dazzling Gleam and Overheat. +1, thanks for asking for me.
You might need to terastallize to check Miraidon more reliably.
